The Tao of Pooh

Hiroo friends!!!

Many of you are asking how I had the strength to make this major change in our lives...

"The Tao of Pooh"
"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh.  "What do you say, Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully.
"It's the same thing," he said.

Until I read this recently I did not know (or at least I did not understand) that I was unintentionally getting through life as a sort of Taoist.  Taoist-understanding changes what others may perceive as negative into something positive.

Or maybe just with a lot of smart ass comments and sarcasm and a big dose of silly.

So I'm a wordy-sarcastic-embellishing-where-necessary Taoist.

Some of you have seen it during my tennis matches...some of you at the End of the Season party when we still have not made the City Finals...some of you have heard it as we sit around commiserating about husbands and children.  That was all therapeutic for me.  Your laughter made me smile.

So here is the blog, keeping up our connection, letting you hear about our travels through my eyes.

Maybe not the way anyone else will see Tokyo, but hopefully not offending anyone as I put my own spin on my observations.

And hopefully some of you will laugh along the way with me.

Tao, Baby!!!

Today we got our hair styled by lovely Japanese women:

G tried to sell his blonde locks to them...

A learned to wash his face...

JE goes for layers...

Later, an oh-my-lord-what-were-they-thinking moment...

They boys decide they like Japanese workout attire

And by popular demand, our little village:

Our daily grocery store, 5 minute walk

Shop filled street to subway through Hiroo Village

One of many tiny restaurants along our street.

Our favorite sushi man...G runs down to this curbside stand nearly every night at 8 when sushi goes on sale.

A new favorite...tiny cafe called Roy....  So cool!!

                                                 On that note....
Laugh every day and TTFN...ta ta for now!!! (Tigger)
