I Had a Helen Keller Moment Today...

My Japanese tutor came today.  I learned to count to ten and she quizzed me on fruits, vegetables and meats until my stomach was growling.  Then it was my turn to ask questions....poor woman.  I dragged her around my house touching everything and making her name it or read what the buttons said.  I dutifully repeated the words with glee and run to the next appliance.

I got so excited when she taught me the way to control the thermostat.  I had expertly turned the heat on full blast to cool the house down before she arrived.  I was so sweaty I slid off the couch when we sat down.  Then she helped me work my Japanese iphone...it has been babbling gibberish at me since I arrived. She taught me the settings on the microwave.  I had just perfected melting glass, but no more of that now!  She also explained the television remote and how to work the buttons on the Toto-geyser-toilet.  I feel so much smarter, and the children will feel much safer without the constant indoor floods, kitchen explosions and sauna-like temperatures.  I begged her to stay and wrapped myself around her ankles, but she ran out my door to the much cooler 95-degree weather outside.

Ahh, but she has to come back to me....on Thursday!!

Today, because some of you are NAGGING me to death for them, I'll share pictures of my house.
Keep in mind everything you see is rental furniture...until tomorrow!

Ohh,and I have added photos to a few of the previous blogs so please scroll down and check them out!!
